Since 2005 Anand Dandapani has been a member of J.P. Morgan’s Energy Investments team which sources, structures and executes tax equity investments in energy projects. For five years prior to joining the Energy Investments team, Anand was focused on investments in the Oil and Gas sector also with J.P. Morgan. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Anand spent 6 years as a product design engineer at Ford Motor Company. Since 2003 the Energy Investments team has been responsible for investing on behalf of J.P. Morgan and for arranging with other institutional investors more than $59 billion of tax equity for over 81 gigawatts of U.S. wind, solar, battery and geothermal power projects. Also, since the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act, the Energy Investments team has syndicated or purchased over $7.7 billion of tax credits. Prior to 2003, the team arranged more than $1 billion of tax equity for other energy projects. Anand earned his MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, has a Master of Science degree from the University of Kentucky’s Collage of Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Delhi, India.
