As Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of RWE Americas, Dr. Malte Kuss oversees the financial strategy and operations for one of the leading renewable energy companies in the United States. In this role, Malte is responsible for driving financial performance and managing risk to support RWE’s growth strategy as the company expands its generation portfolio to meet the country’s rapidly growing demand for electricity. Malte assumed the role of CFO in October 2025 following several key leadership positions at RWE’s holding company in Germany, including roles in Corporate Strategy, Risk Management, M&A, and Controlling. He builds on 20 years of experience in the energy industry. Prior to joining RWE, he held senior leadership and strategic roles at the energy utility E.ON and worked as a management consultant, advising global energy and industrial clients. Dr. Kuss holds a PhD in Machine Learning from the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems, an MBA from INSEAD, and a degree in Computer Science from the Technische Universität Berlin.
