He brings broad experience across conventional power, renewable energy, and energy storage, shaped by leadership across development, finance, and operations. Over his career, he has led development and execution of projects in 26 U.S. states and more than a dozen countries, with power sales contracts exceeding $75 billion.
Smith has built and scaled multi-gigawatt platforms at companies including Invenergy, Lightsource bp, and Arevon Energy. He is known for a system-level approach and a focus on delivering projects that perform in the real world, with strong engagement across communities and stakeholders.
