Rich Deming is a renewable energy entrepreneur and industry builder who helped shape the early U.S. renewables market, forming the team behind East Energy Renewables in 2012 after launching multiple ventures in the sector’s formative years. His work spans solar, biofuels, and biomass, with East now generating over 80 MW of 24-7 baseline power, diverting more than 300,000 tons of agricultural waste annually, and deploying $160+ million into rural infrastructure while employing 120 people.
In 2024, he founded CEART.io to reimagine how energy projects are evaluated and financed. By combining deep domain expertise with AI-driven analysis, CEART brings speed, clarity, and trust to a traditionally fragmented due diligence process. Since launching pilots in late 2025, the platform has enabled developers, investors, and insurers to accelerate transactions, unlock efficiencies, and move capital into energy projects with greater confidence. Rich splits his time between NYC and North Carolina and is currently the CEO of both East and CEART.io.
