Mario Salandra is a Managing Director on Aon’s Transaction Solutions team. Based in New York, Mario specializes in providing insurance-based solutions for clients on their M&A, Tax and Contingent Risk needs, with a particular focus on Tax Credit Insurance for Renewable Energy transactions. Mario joined Aon in 2020 after a twenty-year career in banking with Bank of America and MUFG Bank, as a Managing Director specializing in originating and executing tax-related financial products and solutions for clients. Prior to banking, Mario was a tax lawyer practicing in New York City with Rogers & Wells (now Clifford Chance). Mario graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Law School with a JD and from Iona University with a BBA in Accounting (summa cum laude). He also graduated from New York University School of Law with an LLM (Taxation). Mario is a member of the New York State Bar.
