Claus Hertel is a Managing Director and heads the Energy/ Core Infrastructure coverage efforts of Rabobank’s Energy Transition business in North America. Rabobank Group, one of the world’s largest banks, operating in more than 38 countries, is a premier corporate and investment bank to the food, agribusiness, commodities, and energy industries. Claus has over 25 years of international banking experience and has been active throughout his career in the origination, structuring and transaction execution of complex structured and project financings. The Energy Transition business supports the growth of the existing core renewables and energy business across the banks various product sectors, expanding the client coverage and increasing the bank’s footprint in the emerging sectors of the industry such as energy storage, distributed generation and other clean technologies that support the organization’s sustainability objectives. Claus also leads the bank’s digital infrastructure efforts. Claus holds a BA in International Relations and Economics from Boston University and has completed Executive courses at the Northwestern Kellogg School of Management.
