Speaker Bio
Formerly the Global Logistics Correspondent for CNBC, Lori Ann LaRocco is a leading voice in global trade, supply chain intelligence, and maritime logistics. As President of LaRocco Consulting, she advises companies, trade associations, and financial institutions on how geopolitical developments and tariff shifts ripple through supply chains and impact the flow of goods worldwide. She also authors the Substack Lori Ann LaRocco Trade Alert and serves as a correspondent at gCaptain.
In 2026, Lori Ann departed CNBC after 26 years, where she served as Senior Editor of Guests and Business News — coordinating guest coverage and special remote events across all network programming while reporting as the network's global logistics correspondent. In June 2026, she will host her first conference, The Containers Don't Lie Maritime Symposium.
An award-winning, best-selling author, Lori Ann's book Trade Wars: Containers Don't Lie draws on maritime data to reveal the true state of global trade — a lens she brings to every panel and keynote. She is also the founder and president of Embracing Your Past to Empower Your Future, a nonprofit that created the Pollee and Rose Allen School of Logistics and Trade in partnership with DHL, and co-authored a companion book tracing the histories of four families descended from enslaved Americans — with all author royalties directed to college stipends for their descendants.
Lori Ann holds a BA in Mass Media Communications and Broadcast Journalism from SUNY Plattsburgh and is a recipient of the school's Distinguished Visiting Alumni Award.
