Mona E. Dajani is a Partner and the Global Co-Chair of Infrastructure, Energy and Real Estate at Cooley LLP. Ms. Dajani's global practice has involved representation of some of the largest blue-chip clients worldwide across the full spectrum of energy, infrastructure, and digital infrastructure sectors.
In her over 25 years of practice, she has led numerous energy, sustainability, and infrastructure deals, including complex mergers and acquisitions/dispositions, project development, financings, joint ventures, tax equity and tax credit financings involving energy and related infrastructure facilities in the U.S. and around the world. The transactions she has led involve solar, wind, hydrogen, hydroelectric and geothermal, as well as ammonia, mobility, electric vehicles, carbon capture and sequestration, renewable natural gas, biofuels, net-zero technology and other energy transition projects.
Ms. Dajani is a recognized leader in data center transactions, advising clients across the full lifecycle of data center development — from site acquisition, power procurement and grid interconnection to project financing, joint ventures and M&A. She has represented developers, colocation providers, private equity, infrastructure funds and lenders on some of the most complex and high-profile data center mandates in the market, spanning conventional, renewable-powered and AI-driven facilities. Her integrated expertise spanning energy infrastructure and digital infrastructure is a distinctive capability that sets her practice apart in this rapidly growing and capital-intensive sector.
She has significant experience in syndicated loan and debt capital markets transactions, sustainable finance, ESG, water and transportation projects, and arranging capital for new and established energy and infrastructure companies.
She has represented a wide variety of commercial and public institutions, sponsors, utilities, financial institutions, underwriters, energy and clean technology companies, private equity funds, investment banks and multilateral agencies in transactions throughout the Americas, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
