The Large Load Boom: Interconnection, Infrastructure, and the Future of Large Energy Users
Thursday, February 26, 2026, 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Information

This panel examines the rapid growth of data centers and other drivers of electricity demand, and the implications for long-term grid planning and near-term upgrades. Panelists will consider current FERC proceedings and how state commissions and RTOs/ISOs are adopting specific rates and tariffs for data centers. They will examine interconnection challenges, load management strategies, and the generation and advanced transmission technologies needed to accommodate large energy users.
